The desk was inspired by the prolific work of the British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens ... A client found a photo, she sent it to me and together we worked out the final design and proportions of the details ... This piece is richly embellished with burl, walnut and rosewood details with hand turned pulls. Simpler versions of this design are possible, but the bells and whistles on this one are really nice ... There is a long post about this piece on my dcf blog dated March 9, 2009.
