This knotty alder entertainment center has a timeless appeal. It was designed for a 66" television that loads from the front with false panels that can be removed for easy access to the television. It was also made to convert for a flat panel wall mount when the owners are ready for newer … technology.
All of the shelves are wood frames with glass insets to allow for the lighting in the cabinets to shine throught each layer. I painted the back wall an burgundy red accent color to highlight the display areas.
Behind the glass doors are components as well as video and media storage pullout shelves. This unit has two subwoofers, so there are two panels in the base cabinets with speaker cloth. I built the soffit to follow the crown moulding, which is an oversized traditional crown. This entertainment has it all. Plenty of Display, plenty of storage, and it functions very well for entertaining.
