Made as a gift for my daughter. This design was meant to house her necklaces from 2 turrets in the top and rings and bracelets in the drawer at the bottom.
I really enjoyed doing the marquetry and wanted it to be something she would treasure. The door knob is hand carved from tulipwood and the … door panel employs 7 different species of wood.
As with all my work the inlay work is done by hand and the herringbone banding is scratch built.
Any child ( or adult for that matter) would love to house their valuables in a keepsake such as this.
