The frame is Wenge and the tabletop, drawer front and panels are Bubinga. I call it "Altar" because the inset marble begs to display something very special. The mirror collects light and throws a shadow of light, almost a halo, over the marble. This piece was awarded third place in Traditional Furniture in the 2004 Design in Wood exhibition as well as first place for Excellence in Finishing and a special award for Excellence in Workmanship.
