This upper east side Manhattan apartment was gutted and renovated to be a comfortable home and showcase for arts and crafts style artwork and furnishings. The notable NYC architect chose Greene and Greene style, using quarter sawn oak for the woodwork.
I worked from drawings and surveyed measurements myself.
I prefabricated and installed four different ceiling treatments. I clad the metal stairs (fire code) with oak including spindles, railings, etc. I also prefabricated and installed a fireplace treatment, paneling, bookcases, radiator covers, built-ins, and kitchen cabinets. I provided trim, stained to match, installed by others.
The overall effect is spectacular.
I have subsequently returned to create a home office in the same style.
