The Arts & Crafts style of furniture emphasizes simplicity, sturdiness and quality craftsmanship. The preferred wood for this style is White Oak which has been quarter-sawn to reveal the wonderful ray flecks produced by the radial paths that nutrients take as the tree grows. This particular bed is White Oak which we stained to match an existing bookcase. All joinery is mortise and tenon. Finished with many coats of hand rubbed shellac and then hand waxed.

Cat Cave

I was so excited to find the cat cave on Custom Made. Ken was great about communicating throughout the project and posted a ton of pictures. The finished product works perfectly and is beautiful. He even found a shipping alternative for us that didn't cost an arm and a leg.
