This 16" archtop is rooted in both archtop and flattop design. The sound hole placement, mahogany neck and bracing pattern are distinctly "flattop". The carved plates, tailpiece and elevated neck are distinctly "archtop"

Tonally, it is a blend of the two styles. It has the clarity, projection … and articulation of an archtop, with some of the warmth and richness of a flattop.

This is a great instrument for acoustic Jazz or Blues.
