This was a project from an interior designer to fill the empty space left by the builder. The design and layout was provided. This was constructed from maple solids and plys. The lower doors hide pull-out trays, for media equipment and drawers for CD's, DVD's and LP's. The upper door (looks like two drawers) flips upward and houses additional media equipment. The drawers and pull-outs are constructed of solid maple and dovetail joinery and have a clear finish. The uppermost display has a mirror located in the back and is lit with a touch sensitive dimmer. The hardware is oil-rubbed bronze. The finish is dye stained with a catalyzed lacquer topcoat. The installation is a scribe fit on three sides with a base shoe on the ground.
