Built-In Window Seat

Material: Birch Plywood and Poplar Location: Bethesda, MD The work consisted of a variety of tasks. First the client asked to change the door opening from a square to an arch to compliment the entrance door. The unit included a window seat for which the client ordered custom-made upholstery. The design includes plenty of storage space, beneath the bench and doors and drawers in the cabinets. The doors are raised panel doors and the columns are fluted.

Steffen took real care in the design, even adding an inlaid gingko leaf to match the Craftsman theme of the room. It is a stunning piece. We love the contrast of woods, and he seamlessly incorporated five different woods which all blend harmoniously. We have begun another project, so pleased were we with the result.

Steffen is an excellent craftsman. He was extremely helpful in the design and planning stages of the project and built a wonderful, high-quality bed for our daughter. We very much enjoyed our interaction and seeing the different stages of the work in photos. He had some good ideas to improve our original design. He even delivered and set up the bed for us. We are completely satisfied with our bed and will treasure it for a long time. Highly recommend Meisterbuilders, Inc!
