The Burt Street arm chair and dining chair is made from local American solid wood cherry throughout. It has a back rest shaped in a Greene and Greene cloud lift that provides an open space allowing ergonomic comfort for the spine. Along with a lightweight upholstered slip seat, strong traditional … tongue and groove joinery, and long lasting warm lustre of oil and wax finish this functional chair is pleasant in any space whether it be an institutional setting or private dining. The elegantly curved back legs provide functional resistance to the bad habit of leaning back in a chair preventing damage and thus maintaining a long lasting heirloom.

The predecessor of this chair was originally a custom design specifically made to enhance and comfortably fit a woman. It was conceived to compliment the interior space of a home in Australia while the architectural drawings for the Burt Street residence were still on the board.
