Debra brings her experience and education in contemporary art to the design of each piece. Educated at Sotheby's in London, she currently is the Director of an established New York art gallery. Brandon adds to this his ten years plus designing and building furniture, with a background in small business marketing. They met in the Northwest, married in New York, and now live in a quiet suburb of New Jersey. The furniture they design reflects the creative enterprise of NYC and the charm of the Northwest

Our 2nd Story concept is an upcycle approach to design focusing on the client's connection to a sentimental but unusable piece of furniture. We take the old piece of furniture and redesign it for the contemporary home. 2nd story takes seed where nostalgia meets invention. We do not restore antiques. We do a contemporary redesign inspired by the story that kept the piece around, all the while making as much use as practical of the existing materials.
