Our flexibility and creativity make the custom process a pleasure. Each rug we create starts as an exploration of an idea and ends in a beautiful object.

Our designs are the result of a collaboration between two artists — Bennett Bean and Elizabeth Rand. The interplay between the those two—and their contrasting points of view—makes for a unique body of work where maturity balances youth, experience is enhanced with fresh perspective, and process is enriched by joining an additive versus subtractive attitudes.

Bennett Bean Studio offers handmade custom rugs in a variety of material and manufacturing options. Our Tibetan hand-knotted rugs are beautifully crafted in Nepal at 100 to 200 knots per square inch. They are available in high quality Tibetan wool as well as luxurious fine silk.

We are also now offering high quality hand-knotted and hand-tufted New Zealand wool and viscose rugs made in India.

All of our rugs are certified child labor free by the non-profit organization GoodWeave and a portion of our proceeds from each rug goes to helping create educational opportunities for children in Nepal and India.
