After a series of events in the early 2000's, Ron grew increasingly aware of the need to reform the current cane model (the derby cane), and thus set out to revitalize his old design and revision the current cane market. With a patent pending and scores of medical endorsements after a single year, the Campbell Handle has proven to be popular wherever it goes.
*All of our walking/hiking canes are hand made. No two are exactly alike. Each is uniquely made from beautiful hardwoods and then finished with lacquer or beeswax and oranges to form a soft patina.
*This unique design works a different muscle group than regular canes. It takes pressure off from the shoulder and works the triceps muscle instead. You are forced to walk upright, thereby taking pressure off from your lungs. This helps people with respiratory problems. People with carpal tunnel may find that there will be less pain using this device because the pressure is less downward. Those using regular canes tend to look down to the floor or the ground. If this is the case, their inner ear (balance) made not be working.

Campbell Canes- Recrafting The Old ?
?Is there any mobility technology older than the basic walking cane? Probably not. But that's no reason not to refine them both in aesthetics and in function. ??Campbell Canes has recently introduced a truly unique set of canes and walking sticks. Why unique? Just have a look to the left and right. Campbell Canes are handcrafted from regional and exotic woods, stained and finished with careful attention to detail. Each bears the signature seal of its craftsman and comes with a certificate of authenticity. ??That covers form nicely, but what about function? The manufacturer states that the Campbell Handle? is specially designed to maximize stability and balance. The grip is firm and comfortable while the curved shape exercises the triceps muscles and relieves overworked shoulder muscles. ??Campbell Canes offers canes and walking sticks in a number of styles and customization is available. Owner Ron Campbell is a woodworker, furniture-maker and designer, and business owner who places the highest crafting standards into each cane and stick they produce. ??My personal take on the Campbell Canes? I have an affinity for crafted items and I am big on devices that make an individual statement or that are as much art as they are technology. Add to that increased balance and shoulder relief and you have a pretty good package. I'm not a cane user but I sure wouldn't mind being seen walking around with one of these. Very cool indeed!

I just got back from the Medtrade Show, and there was a lot of interest. We were stopped everywhere because they appeal to anyone who does not want feel old. In the past 3 months, doctors (M.D. & D.O.) and nurses (14) have told us to market them. We are awaiting a review by the Veterans Administration, from a referral by Senator Susan Collin's office. We would also like physical therapists onboard, because they deal more directly with therapy protocol. We do highly recommend that you consult your physician when you need to use a cane. Send this info to all you doctors and physical therapists for review. They will shortly be reading/watching about us in the news and TV.
