Mystudies included a year in Florence, Italy, and graduate school in Corpus Christi, Texas. In addition to being featured in numerous galleries around the country, I also participate in several of the highest quality art and craft shows. I have received numerous public and private commissions and my work is in public and private collections around the world. Nature is my stimulus. I work to imply a feeling of motion and emotion. I do not try to recreate nature in detail, but use its elements to construct my ideas. Most of my work is constructed in copper, brass, bronze and steel, which I cut, shape, weld, and then polish or patina with various treatments. I like the linear quality I get from constructing in metal, as if I am creating three-dimensional drawings. I try to communicate my own ideas in my own way, and I hope people will enjoy my sculptures as much as I enjoy making them.
