Over th … Read more My name is Chris Harrell and I am the owner of Coastal Structures, Inc.. I work out of a small home based shop producing custom hand built furniture and cabinets.

I began woodworking about 20 years ago with my father in his shop building weekend projects. As I grew older, my love for woodworking grew too. Over the years I have been involved in everything from building furniture, houses, cabinets and even repairing wood boats. But, it seems, I always come back to crafting furniture.

I build all projects one at a time and use old fashion joinery methods such as mortise and tenon and dovetails. It also never hurts to put a dowel joint in there too. These methods have and will stand the test of time.
