As woodturners, we strive to be different in our offerings. We will custom make wooden balusters, and other items, that are not obtainable elsewhere, either because of small quantities needed, pricing, or it just can't be found. Wood Balusters, Porch Posts, Finials, Ball Tops, Newel Posts are a few of the items that we specialize in. They can be any kind of wood you choose, rot resistant or inexpensive. Most of our balusters are for historical renovations or replacement antique balusters caused by storm damage or damage by vermin or age. We make balusters primarily for porch and outside use. They can be 1890's balusters, 1920's balusters or from any time period. Most of the balusters that we make are unfinished wood as the builders, renovators, or homeowners prefer to finish them on site. However they can be primed and painted in any color if desired. People have sent in pictures of what they wanted and we have made custom made balusters from the pictures. When you can't find what you're looking for.... contact me. Roof Finial Our roof finial was rotted beyond repair. Fortunately, I found the services of Don Bedell. He replicated our old finial perfectly and improved the design and durability. He was very professional, personable and easy to work with. It is clear he takes great pride in his work. I highly recommend his services. Moreover, it is great to support a local craftsman in the USA. Additionally, Don has many craftsman contacts. If he can't do it, he likely knows someone who can. Porch Finials Woodworker, Don Bedell, crafted two over-sized finials for the splayed stairs off our back deck. Due to the size of the posts, the finials needed to be custom-made. Mr. Bedell did an excellent job ~ the finials matched the style of the existing posts perfectly. We highly recommend Mr. Bedell's workmanship.
