I was an
unhappy engineer. The work had become boring and was unfulfilling. Enter furniture making. I was at an ACC craft show and saw several booths featuring craft schools. Immediately, I was drawn to the unique designs and beauty of the furniture displayed. I had always loved making things and engineering was just not filling my need. Perhaps furniture would be my salvation. Upon significant reflection and family discussions, I abandoned my engineering career and entered The Worcester Center for Crafts, for two years, to study furniture design and construction.
Upon completion of the program in 1993, I started my own business, which continues successfully today. My work is contemporary, has clean lines, and has been nationally recognized for its simplicity and elegance of form. Highlighting the beauty of the materials used and minimizing distraction from gimmicky design are always my goals. My influences are Art-Deco, Modern, Asian and some Arts and Crafts.
