My name is
Austin Moore. I am a self taught silver and gold smith, I started teaching myself the trade as a time filler. After discovering that I had a knack for it, I started my own business making and selling custom and one of a kind jewelry. I take great pride in my work, and the best part of my job is getting the opportunity to create something for my customers that they might not have been able to get otherwise.
So why choose me? There are a lot of talented jewelers out there... but if you want Art, I'm your man. I enjoy working outside the limits of "traditional" jewelry. I am right hat home working on a beautiful ring that takes a normal concept like an "Eternity Ring" and stretches it until it is my own (See my profile picture as an example). When I create, I add a little bit of my own personality into each project.
I have a degree in Architecture from Cal Poly and I also run a small design and drafting business. I take pride in handling my Jewelry business with the same professionalism that you would expect from a brick and mortar company, but I try to keep the flexible and fun attitude of a small mom and pop store. I also happen to be a Dad, and my wife also assists in the business.
In the past 3 years, I have completed over 600 Custom orders. I offer a personal guaranteeing on satisfaction regarding all of my work. If you recieve a piece and are not happy, I will always try my best to work something out.
About My Work:
Most of my projects use traditional bench techniques that have been passed down for ages among silversmiths. The gemstones that I use are always natural, never glass, fake, lab created or cheap imitations. I DO NOT buy pre-made rings and simply snap stones into them. I am also able to do lost wax style casting and Cad work to create intricately detailed work, normally not possible with human hands. So weather you want that rustic, hand made look, or a streamline, and complex design, I have got you covered.
I will always veer towards quality rather than quantity. I rarely place things on sale. If I do, it is because I want to see a piece find a home rather than collecting dust in my display. Since I do actually make everything by hand I am more than able to answer any questions about my work, or also perform custom requests of modifications. I am self taught and I love my work, I enjoy the creative process of making jewelry by hand, and creating miniature works of art. More than that, I love enabling my customers to find exactly what they are looking for. Thank you for supporting quality hand made work.
