Then we stumbled onto the idea of subl … Read more In 2003 a few of us started to experiment with dye-sublimation printing to see if we can place art work on a verity of materials. First we did mouse pads then t-shirts but nothing that we did seemed show the art work in good light, in fact it sort of looked cheap and unappealing. Then we stumbled onto the idea of sublimating the images onto ceramic and tumbled marble tiles, and after working out the manufacturing process everything came out beautiful, crisp and vibrant and Flekman ART was born.

Today we have perfected the sublimation process and are able to create crisp tile murals on a verity of different surfaces from ceramic tile to tumbled marble. Our workshop is happily located in the center of the world, Brooklyn New York. We specialize in sublimating art work onto tiles to create murals that can be used for kitchen backsplashes, bathroom showers, and anything else that comes to the creative minds of our customers. We can take any image, poster, or photo and make it into a mural to your exact liking.
