My current portfolio of art furniture combines sculptural form with kiln-fired colored glass..As a maker of contemporary art furniture, I seek to create visual ideas that reflect an individual rather than a variation of an historical style. Throughout my teaching and art-making career, I have combined ceramic relief and kiln fired glass with hardwoods so that a visually unique object finds a place in the home environment. Collaborative design is the result of good communication between the client and the artist so that drawings can be discussed regarding the theme for a custom piece.
