Every light sculpture is hand crafted, original and unique. Pictures simply cannot do justice to the quality of light and pleasing ambience they create. Each luminary is made by weaving together 90 to 150 individually folded origami units of translucent parchment paper, bound together by multiple layers of shoji paper and tinted adhesive. The lantern displays a dynamic balance between rhythmic geometrical polygons and flowing irregular patterns of color density and texture. These lights are fascinating whether lit or unlit and create dramatic effects in darkened or bright rooms.
