I have been playing with fire since 1987 and working with fiber since 1970.
I combine glass pieces and beads with fiber techniques of knotting and beadweaving, using fine linen, nylon and/or silk cord depending on the texture and color that I want to achieve. In some pieces the fiber is prominent, in others the glass is prominent. As my work has evolved it has become more narrative in nature. I think of each piece as a sculpture with a story. The story could be a simple sketch of cosmic energy feeding a flower, a dance in the mythic underworld or images of crop circles near Stonehenge
