My work is characterised by … Read more I have been designing and crafting one of a kind pieces of artistic woodwork since 1991. The majority of what I build is functional furniture. However, I also devote a portion of my time to crafting decorative pieces such as sculptures, wall hangings and carved vessels of various types.
My work is characterised by an original design aesthetic, a sentitive choice of materials, and an attention to detail and craftsmanship.
The sources of my inspiration come from many different areas. The natural world is a never-ending spring of imagery. Plants and trees, animals leaping and birds in flight, as well as the human body, all offer an abundance of forms that can be the seed for a wonderful creation.
My goal is to both constantly explore new ideas and reinterprate more familiar themes. I aim to keep the passion of my art alive, and I believe that this is what my clients find so exciting about my work.
