Katherine Lincoln designs
her namesake line of handcrafted jewelry and accessories in her modest Red Hook, Brooklyn studio. There she focuses on bold statement jewelry with a sculptural quality. Strong textures, semi-precious stones and ancient labor-intensive techniques make each piece a unique work of wearable art.
Katie gradually made the transition from museum and auction professional to working designer several years ago but still makes good use of her curatorial training to create strong, edited pieces that are both artful as well as fashionable. Her jewelry enhances but never overpowers the wearer.
Katie studied fine art in Ontario, Canada as well as jewelry design at The School of Visual Arts and The Jewelry Arts Institute, both in New York City, and at The Haystack Mountain School of Craft in Maine. Her inspirations come not only from these amazing locations but also from her close connection to the urban environment and post-industrial Brooklyn. More recently, she has begun fabricating larger, functional objects for the home and assisting blacksmithing courses at SVA.
