I find that my pieces come out when they feel like it, based on just the tiniest bit of inspiration. It can be a word, a change in lifestyle (like the loss of my last job, which prompted me to unpack my easel and pull out the brushes for the first time in ten years), or a story told to me by someone else. Regardless, there's emotion behind my best work, and every piece I create, be it jewelry or a painting or sculpture is "my best work yet". I love each and every item as if it were a child, I've developed, nurtured, and tended to it before it's "release into the wild" and into the hearts and homes of those who simply "just have to have it"!
