Most of the pieces are not functional, but a few are. The sculptures are mostly an assemblage of slip cast and hand built forms. Some molds are made by me and others come from commercial sources.

Sgraffito, the carving technique, involves painting onto the clay body and then scratching the painted surface away to reveal the porcelain underneath. It is a time consuming process that only the obsessive would pursue.
