Moose Run Metalsmiths is located on the beautiful shores of Kachemak Bay in Homer, Alaska. We are Marlon Prazen and Tarri Thurman, metal artisans working in copper, steel and brass. Most of our work is creating beautiful yet functional art work. Marlon is 4th generation metalsmith. Having held a hammer since the age of 4 he goes to his bench with skills that are genetic. Tarri began her apprentice 13 years ago under the direction of John F. Prazen and his son Marlon. We have gone on to build our own studio and eagerly walk up the drive to our full time jobs as metal artists. We have created work for the Islands and Ocean Visitors Center and Homer Public Library under 1% for Arts. Most of our work is by commission. We love to create for a certain space. Fabrication of the imagination is truly what we do. Our focus being architectural detailing such as entry doors, railing, mirrors, beds, lighting and furniture.
