While my restoration work encompasses … Read more I am a 5th generation woodworker and restoration/refinishing professional. I have been serving my clients needs full time for the past 38 years. Having started "hanging" around the shop from about the age of 9 or 10, that makes for nearly a half century of shop experience. While my restoration work encompasses the gamut of different age and style of pieces, my commissioned pieces tend to fall into the categories of Shaker, Contemporary, Arts&Crafts/Mission and Early American Painted Primitives, all styles that have a common thread of clean lines and simplicity. One of my specialties is to design for special size requirements. I work with my clients to create their project in a manner that is pleasing to the eye and is functional in terms of their desired use and any specific architectural constraints that may be posed. I work predominately in both native North American hard and soft woods with exotic species available upon request. Construction techniques blend a combination of hand and machine work while working in mostly solid stock with veneering utilized as required or desired.
