I use precise joinery, clean lines, attention to species selection and grain management. All my joinery is done by hand and tool. Finishes are hand rubbed oils, varnishes and wax. My energy and passion to build in balance with nature's gift something of utility and hopefully an object of lasting beauty; that is my gift and joy, my Legacy furniture for future generations. I am inspired for a project by a beautiful piece of wood; I seek to bring out the life that the wood holds and represents. I am a self taught woodworker and furniture designer, with 50 years of experience. I have studied with Robert Meadow of The Lutherie the art and techniques of Japanese woodworking. All of my hand tools are Japanese in design and made by master forgers. I have been designated as a Taos "Living Master".
