I have been strongly influenced by the philosophies and design tenants of the Arts and Crafts movement. My design focus reflects the mission theme with a somewhat overbuilt quality influenced from the furniture in the castles of northern Europe blended together with Danish and slight oriental overtones. I am inspired to produce a heirloom quality furniture product that will endure long after my life is over.

Development of standard designs are done at the rate of approximately 3 per year to augment a design line I refer to as New Mission. I endeavor to meet nearly every furniture need for home and office, including lamps with a special interest in seating. Sturdy, grounded, well executed yet visually sensuous.

All my furniture is bench made one piece at a time from rough, usually black cherry hardwood lumber. I utilize a mixture of old world furniture joinery techniques blended with some modern day methods. Finishes are applied by hand and rubbed out several times using a mixture of tung oil and polyurethane. Upholstery is organic in nature, usually a thickly woven fabric, but more lately leathers.
