  • Jake, We are quite ahead of schedule as the other humidors and tables in the shop are all going perfectly, as yours is. Our revised schedule beginning tomorrow (7/12/12) is: Thursday – Friday – complete assembly and final sanding Saturday – Stain Sunday – Tuesday – Apply 4 coats of tung / poly Tuesday – Pictures for your approval and final payment Wednesday – Ship Attached is a picture of some stains on the wood used for YOUR humidor.   • Jake, In this pic from today, you can see the interior shelves; the front 5 slats are removable in case you wish to "stagger-back" the shelves for easy viewing. Tomorrow, the drawer assembly, top, bun feet, and doors will be installed. Beside your humidor is a completed VERY large humidor that ships the same day as yours to Phili. John Nearing completion!

  • Jake, Yes, there is an update. Your humidor is in the finishing room with the Jacobean stain applied and 2 coats so far of finish. I am today completing the drawer assembly and starting the electricals this evening. Then, I just have to mount the drawer assembly (15 min), finish the elctricals (1 day), and mount the doors and the locks (1/2 day.) I'm still looking for pictures on Wednesday and ship on Thursday. Attached is a picture of your bun feet from Thursday or Friday. John Nice Buns! (Bun feet, that is.)

  • Jake, Your humidor is complete and ready for shipment tomorrow! In these pictures, you can see the walnut with the Jacobian finish and the bun feet. The locks are matched and have 4 keys. I will mail 2 keys to you, keep one, and tape one inside the cabinet. I think that the Avallo humidifier might be my favorite now. While it takes more work to run all of the wires, I think it performs quite nicely. The fans are mounted at the top, back of the cabinet and the sensor is mid-upper right side. The canisters will be mounted with a Velcro strap as soon as my assistant gets back from the hardware store. I took the pictures now since it’s about to rain any minute now. The drawers are solid Mahogany with Spanish cedar slats for perfect air circulation. These drawers will never stick. You’ll also notice that unlike the factory made humidors, every square inch of the interior is covered with Spanish cedar; the sides, back, top, bottom, and even the inside of the doors. Any questions? John Spanish cedar lined with mahogany structurals. Even the doors are lined in cedar! The humidifoer is Avallo brand and highly reccomended!

    Great humidor. Looks good and homemade not like the store bought ones. Exactly what I wanted and exactly as promised. Glass to the front of humidor was broken during shipping but creator promptly replaced. Looks awesome sitting on pub table in pool table room. It gets lots of compliments.
