The post of this Caribbean tall post bed were turned from solid 5 x 5" mahogany, not several boards glued up and the rails are solid single planks as well. In addition the bed has a full heavy cornice. Joined using mortise and tenon joinery drawn tight by traditional bed bolts. The included … slat system eliminates the need for a box spring. The bed pictured is king size and finished quite dark to suit my clients taste. This bed can be built in different sizes and other finishes are available.
