Carnelian Drop Necklace
CustomMade by Cherise Spellman
The inspiration for this necklace came from various ancient Inca necklaces on display in the Gold Museum in Lima, Peru. I have never seen so many beautiful ancient necklaces anywhere. I was fortunate to find the last book in the museum and have used it as inspiration. The drop piece is old … carnelian. The necklace is a mixture of old Roman glass beads, terracotta clay Tomb Beads from Africa, brass and misc. old trade beads. It is strung on artificial sinew and finished with a hand stamped artist tag. There is also two graceful drops that hang at the back of the neck. The circumference is 24 inches and the drop piece is 2 inches.
