This large cased opening has a jamb and elaborate casing constructed entirely of Honduras Mahogany selected for ribbon grain. Casing is built up of many profiled moldings with different detailing above and below a 'waist' molding. The elaborate architrave has carved moldings, a heavily carved entablature and drop turnings. All of the details for this cased opening were carefully copied from an existing casing elsewhere in the room.
