This entryway could more accurately be described as a sculpture rather than a carved door. The geese on the door are carved on both sides, so that you can see the birds from inside the door through the glass. This creates a very dramatic sculptural quality to the carvings, and is a very deep palette on which to create movement and detail. The cattail blossoms are the door pulls.
