The bed is carved with a sanding drum. There are places where the head and foot board have odd shapes of wood glued to them with the carving continuing through these raised pieces. The designs are really not representing anything other than the way I was feeling on the days I carved. This is one of few pieces that was totally completed with no plan or guide; just a feeling of being alive.
