Cernunnos is a fertility god who was worshipped across Europe as late as the 1st century A.D., however he is much older; the evidence of which can be found in cave drawings that date before the 4th century B.C. Cernunnos reigns over animals and the underworld, playing a major role in the shamanistic traditions of the tribal peoples of northern Europe.
