This traditional free-standing desk includes both plain and figured cherry. Each bank of 3 cherry drawer fronts was glued together in order to sculpt the trapezoid-shaped raised center section, then cut apart. The Rosewood corner inlay (see detail photo) combines a stylized bird with the owners last initial (W). The pulls are also solid Rosewood. Interior drawers and keyboard slide are walnut. Part of a library room installation in Chatham, NJ.
