This was my first designed and constructed piece and was inspired by the works of James Krenov. It was made of curly book matched black cherry with a curly maple accent. The top is two book matched cherry boards and the rest of the wood was hand selected for placement of interesting grain. For … example the "Rose Bud" in the middle of the front stretcher. The finish consists of multiple coats of oil and buffed with wax to a satin finish. This table has been placed in multiple shows in the WIsconsin Area. It was eventually given to my brother as a wedding gift and has been with them ever since.
