This cherry bed is styled after those made by Thomas Chippendale. It features solid turned posts (one piece, not glued stock), mortise and tennon construction with iron bed bolts, and a Swedish slat system. These hardwood slats (covered with plywood, included but not pictured) provide better support than a box spring making it unnecessary. We also offer this bed with angle irons for use with a box spring. See our web site for pricing.
