Classic Cedar Canvas Canoes

A shallow arched hull with a slight outward flare helps keep waves out, and a keel line with two inches of rocker makes the canoe very responsive to paddle and pole. Each handcrafted canoe requires approximately 130 hours to complete, and with a little care, will last … for generations.

A typical canoe 16'2" long in white cedar will weigh approximately 70-73 lbs. I also make a light weight version at 64 lbs. All seats are hand caned. A limited number of canoes are built per year.

Handcrafted paddles in the traditional style are available.

Canoe restoration is also a service provided.
