This concert classical guitar is made with a fan braced Adirondack spruce soundboard and cocobolo rosewood back and sides. This is a double-sided instrument, with a layer of mahogany laminated to the inner sides for increased stiffness. The rosette, tie block and center peghead overlay are burled … amboyna. The 12 hole bridge is made of Brazilian rosewood. The bindings around the body are Brazilian rosewood and curly maple. The black and white purflings around the edges and up the middle of the back were carefully constructed from pieces of holly and ebony veneer. The fretboard is ebony. Tuners are by Sloane.
The side port has a very positive effect on the volume and complexity of the guitar's tone. This can be heard both by the player and anyone listening to the instrument.
