Copper-Topped Patinated Dining Table
CustomMade by Scott Reuman
This special dining table, designed with matching and mating curves, was made to be used as one large, long table or to separate the kids at Thanksgiving to their own table. Heavy weight sheet copper was bonded to marine plywood. Multiple chemical applications were used to add a bright color patina to the copper. The cherry surround was dyed and stained to match other woodwork in the room. Some small details (one pictured) were also inlaid with copper. This is a trestle table design.

Mesmerizing Pendulum Steel Ball Swing Set
by Carl J. Sep 11th 2012
I wanted Scott to create a "Mesmerizing Steel Pendulum Swing Set" for a friend who teaches 7th grade science, as a birthday present but also as a contribution to the little science museum that he keeps for his pupils mounted on shelves and desks around the room. The 10 pendulums swings from side-to-side and mark a series of alternating patterns in the air. Some, probably most, kids will just be interested in the cool 'mesmerizing' patterns that they see. But maybe one or two of them might become interested in the physics behind the seemingly autonomous patterns that show up.
