Corner Unit..."The Corner Totem"
CustomMade by Randy Weersing
This piece was designed to display items of the client's pottery collection and provide storage adjacent to the dining area. The corner it occupies makes a 110 degree angle, which creates a particular challenge. Materials used are Sapele (a sustainable Mahogany variant), poplar, plywood, and … copper. The cabinet door insert is a hand tooled copper panel and the shelf face inlays were formed from copper bar stock. Heat and chemical patinas were applied. Shelves and cabinet heights adjust on the keyed vertical members.

Randy is a skilled craftsman and innovative designer. We brought Randy old growth wood we found in a mill pond on our property. From there he designed a built a table that fits in perfectly with our office and taste. Our conference table is the focal point of our office. The table is not just beautiful, but also a very functional piece that is used every day.

Office Furniture and Kind Size Bed
by Vera Nov 28th 2012
Randy made several custom pieces for me to fit a craftsman house. He took my rough ideas of what I needed, and some pretty specific size needs and made pieces that are works of art. His work is meticulous, he matched panels so that the patterns are symetrical, and above all, he LISTENED when I described what I needed. I needed to have a set of built-ins for the office in the home that would keep with the high-end character of the construction, yet still provide the huge amounts of storage that I needed. He made that office beautiful. When we sold the home, the new buyers made the sale contingent on keeping the bed Randy made for me. Before I moved across country I commissioned another bed to replace it. Randy's work is worth waiting for.
