Corresponding To An Echo As It Travels (Coffeepot)

This coffeepot is part of a series of design variations on bird forms and the title references how a sound changes as it echoes. The vessel was based on the shape of a bird's body, the handle a wing and the spout a beak. The handle was created from purple-heart wood laminated with sheet silver for strength.

Kaminer helped me with a wedding band that's one of a kind for my future husband. We are Virginia Tech Hokies and we wanted it to look like Hokie Stone. She did a fantastic job and working with her was a excellent!
