I am often home Monday a.m., preparing lessons. One week I am distracted by a chain saw. Rush out to discover that the huge burl covered maple next door is being cut down. My handy hand truck and I rescue about 30 hunks. This is nearly the last one. There was a large fold in this piece which trapped bark and thus the crack, making a totally unique piece.
