Integrating your flat panel TV into the corner is easy to do when dealing with a true professional. Thankfully, Diamond Case Designs, Inc. has considerable experience in designing custom corner TV stands and custom corner entertainment centers.
The challenge with this particular job was to integrate a large flat panel television, a center channel speaker, a few audio/video components, and provide media storage all in a modestly sized corner.
The customer didn't want the look of a simple corner television stand they wanted something more built-in, which was achieved by creating a custom back wall and attaching the TV with a wall mount bracket. "Floating" the TV provided the perfect built-in look and saved the time and inconvenience of mounting the TV to the wall.
The entire furniture system was built on hidden heavy-duty wheels so it could easily be rolled back and forth from the corner. Once behind the furniture the back panel was screwed on for easy removal. All the electronics could be loaded, wired, and accessed from the back side.
The middle door had a special split panel design with the upper portion being grill cloth (to hide a center speaker) and the lower portion being smoke glass (to accommodate the electronics). A narrow wood door flanked each side of the center door to provide media and general storage.
The furniture system was fully assembled in a top and bottom half to make delivery simple and convenient. This custom corner television stand was built in oak wood and finished in a honey stain.
