  • Here are the first round of CNC parts ready to start putting it all together. Every one of these pieces will get rounded over and cut away from the background by hand. It's an amazing amount of labor for 2-3 guys, all week long!

Teak has variations but this is the older growth stuff and not plantation grown so it's all beautiful and strong! More to come this week and as we move forward, I'll update the creation story.

  • These teak, circular benches are 8 foot long.and are fit into a specific area in the landscaping with curved stone and brick patios. These are built from the older growth Teak, not the fast growing plantation teak that is so common now. This original teak grew slowly and has far more strength. That can be said most wood now though!these will not only look great but will be a focus on any gathering as the gossip moves form seat to seat!!!! Good luck finding a spot at the party because they will always be filled with garden sitters of all ages

Update #2 Then comes the Marriage!

Everything is cut and ready for assembly. Here's a video of where we are at as of Tuesday evening. By Friday night, the benches should be assembled and ready for finish. A good dry over Sunday and we'll be ready for delivery on Monday or Tuesday - ENJOY!

Update #3 Then comes Benches Ready for the Carriage!

Believe it or not my guys have both benches built! They worked a good chunk of yesterday, on the 4th, and got everything together with the exception
of a couple small trim pieces. We will be finishing tomorrow and Saturday, dry Sunday and be ready to ship to you on Monday.

I can't believe we made it, but my team came through and we're really happy with how the benches turned out. They will last for decades and will be a
true stand-out in the garden landscape. I'll try to get a couple finished pics and post this weekend but in the meantime, here are the girls in the
raw, HeHe!
Cheers, Ron

Update #4 Final Pics

Hi,
The benches are ready and waiting for pick up on Wednesday! Here they are with the final coat of finish. They will mellow to that nice silvery color
after a year or two. These pics are a little dark because I just took them with my phone. We would love to take pro pics once they're in place in the
courtyard if that's possible. That will be a great setting with the flagstone and bricks!

Update #5 Bench Pick up

Hi Jennifer,

You can send the check to my PO box. Do you want me to come down next week and put those leveling feet on the benches? Here's a couple pics of the
pick up!

Ron Corl Design Ltd in Ohio being made by Ron Corl Design Ltd
A CustomMade user submitted:

“An executive at our company, where i work as an interior designer, is looking to purchase two curved benches to fit in two semi-circle areas off of his main patio. These semi circles are 93" and 88" in diameter. He prefers a wood that will be durable and look good for years to come. He is also prepared to get covers for the benches for the harsher winter months. Please let me know if you are able to assist with this project. We are aiming to have the benches made and delivered by July 1, 2012.”
