  • Elgie, We have started production on the twin/twin bunk as of last Friday. We have all the headboards milled and assembled as of today. In this pic you can see we are using mortise and tenon joinery. We are also rounding over the corners of the bedposts as well as the bottom rails. Just a little safety precaution in case the kids bang thier heads, It wont hurt quite as much as squared corners would.

Update #2 Assembly of twin/twin

Elgie, We started assembly of the twin/twin and we're very pleased with the way the bed is going together. It's super sturdy at this point. The next step will be to incorporate a ladder and guard rails. After that it's off to paint. We have all the parts milled for the twin/full and will start assembly on it Dec 26. I'll try to have weight and sizes for you next week so you can start looking at shipping options.

Thanks,

Danny

Update #3 Ready for paint

Elgie....We are now at the point where we can start the painting process. We are basically putting the finishing touches on the beds and trying to stablize as many knots as possible. We plan to start to prime the pieces on Monday so by the end of next week we will be ready to ship. Please call me ASAP and i'll give you the information for shipping. It's probably best to start looking for the shipper now.

Thanks,

Elgie submitted:

“The bunk beds we want have been discontinued from another manufacturer. We are looking at a twin over full and a twin over twin. we have attached the photos for both beds and want the same color or as close as possible.

The beds are constructed of pine from fully renewable plantations. So it's more than just a colorful addition to a kid's room. When fully assembled, the twin over full bunk bed measures 87.25L x 57.5W x 72H inches.

We also want the under-bed storage unit which measures. 76L x 16.62W x 16.62H inches, it features three framed-up drawers with matching wood pulls and full-extension guides.

The twin over twin Overall dimensions: 86L x 44.5W x 64.5H inches.
With the trundle with framed panels and rolling caster feet, it measures 76L x 40.75W x 16H inches.
