Update #1 Paradigm Desk & Credenza #1
Here's the renderings of this incredible project. I'm humbled to be chosen for this project and we will make it a literal dream come true. The desk is 10' long both ways and the credenza is 7 1/2' long. Custom Aluminum Legs and Pomelle Bubinga Veneer top and drawer fronts with solid Bubinga edge banding.
We are at the ordering and detail stage at this point. A project like this takes a vast amount of pre-planning and although it will seem like little is happening, things are moving along every day. We need to get this scheduled in with all the other projects so it will be at least a couple weeks before anything starts happening with the build. I'll keep you posted along the entire process but this first part is the slowest. Once we start though, there will be progress almost every day.

Update #2 Getting closer to finishing the planning! #2
Meeting with my metal worker to finalize the leg construction and finish tomorrow. Bubinga Veneer is ordered and we are finishing up the final CNC drawings for the shapes of the desk tops. We should start actually building within 2 weeks after everything comes in. The custom Ergo sliding keyboard tray for the credenza shipped out yesterday.
So things are in motion but at this early point it seems like nothing is happening as we wait for all the materials to come in. Once we start though, there will be progress made almost every day. I am backed out right now almost 12 weeks on new work! Thanks again for trusting me with such an awesome project. THERE WILL BE COOL!!!

Update #3 Aluminum Brushing samples for Legs & Banding
Here are a few of the brushed aluminum samples. I will send them to you but I want to see if we are going in the right direction first and send the ones you lie the best. I love the veining that Jim does and this would compliment the Bubinga really well and add even more POP to the Desk and Credenza. We can do a more random swirl if that's what you're after too. Just let me know.
Thanks, Ron

Update #5 JUly 4th Update
Desk is on the schedule to be cut mid to late week. I will be doing videos and get them posted the same day. Sample is being completed today and should be shipped to you by Tuesday/Wednesday.
The legs themselves are already in production. The legs will take about 2 weeks to complete. Each leg will have over 10' of welding. This type of welding goes very slowly and is very precise. That's why it takes so long, but they will be phenomenal!
On the veneer, I waited all week for the new veneer company to contact me about what they had to offer. They never did, so I will go ahead and replace the original stuff with the ones in the picture. They are 12-16" wide strips and if you zoom in, the figure in the wood is to die for!

Update #6 JUly 15th Update
Looks like we will be proceeding on some of the cutting of the desk tops on Monday and Tuesday. Jim is working on the legs today. He didn't get the metal sample mailed out until Friday so you should have it within a few days, USPS Priority. This was done on a piece of scrap Aluminum so there may be tiny scratches or imperfections but the real legs will not have any.
Here's a couple pictures of the jigs we will be using for the solid Bubinga edge band. That will be cut into thin strips and glued back together around the forms and clamped in place until it dries. Then it will retain that form. Should have more progress pics coming shortly.

Update #8 The tops are almost done, The Sweep is in JULY 28th
Made great progress this week. Cut for sweep went great and it fits like a glove. Desk and Credenza tops are only a day or two from stage 2 completion and shipping to our shop. Legs are moving along nicely I have about 30 minutes of film footage I need to edit down but in the meantime, here's a couple teaser pics. Credenza legs are tacked up too and Jim looks to make great progress this weekend. I put almost 500 miles on my truck this week running from city to city filming metal cutting, CNC'ing, & keeping overall progress moving along!
I have an out of town wedding this weekend but I'll still be working and hope to have the next video done by Monday at the latest. Desk will be in the shop early next week and we'll start custom making the drawers and boxes for the Credenza & Desk. Curved fronts will be made at the same shop who is doing the CNC work. I'll keep you posted.
You probably don't have time but you are welcome to fly up. I'd love to show you around, meet all the guys involved in your project, and you can see some of the hands on process in person. Just a thought and I'd need to set it all up with my guys, but I'm happy to do it for you.
Thanks,
Ron

Update #10 Credenza Handles
We will install the slide out keyboard tray here. Credenza legs will be left on (probably) but the desk legs will almost certainly be shipped off and put on in your office. I don't think they will be able to get the desk in with the legs on. I will personally show the shippers exactly how the legs attach and each one will be numbered so there will be no confusion.
We don't want to unwrap the desk until absolutely necessary, after we get the legs (hopefully this week!) but here's a quick pic of me standing by the desk top to give you an idea of what 10'x10' looks like! It's wrapped in plastic here for protection until we get the legs. I'll take more video & pics while we're putting on the legs.
Very tough to find handles that will work. I looked at over 1000! Don't want to be too similar to what we already have going on, on the credenza so they should just compliment and not struggle with. Take a look at these 4 and let me know what you think. The small one, we would do 2 on each drawer. I'll render what you pick onto the credenza so you can see it.
Cheers!

Update #11 My Amish Team installs the legs!
Looks like we may still be on schedule for a late August pick up and ship date. I cajoled Jim and offered to pay him extra for the banding and he says he will have it for me by this weekend. Desk & Credenza are scheduled to go to finisher on Friday. That means we can still do the banding by mid week and pick up for shipping to warehouse for packaging late next week. Should ship out shortly after that.
Here's a few pics of my Amish "team" helping with the legs. It took several little helpers to hold the legs in place while I stood back and made certain they looked great from the front of the desk so when clients enter your office they will be star struck!
As of today the desk legs are mortised into the bottom and tomorrow the credenza legs will go on. I hope to have competed (except for banding) pics for you by Friday. We are very close Chuck and thank you for being so patient. I know we have went over but as I've said, projects of this scope have many challenges to overcome along the way and they take time, but in the end it will be worth the wait.

Update #12 The finished product! AMAZING!!!
Here are the completed Paradigm Desk and Credenza. The pictures tell the entire story but until you see it in person, there will be no justice! Turned out incredible and we will be looking for as much national coverage as possible from magazines to contests. My team is incredible!
